French Lily Mine, Yavapai County, AZ

The French Lily Mine, or Cedar Talisman Mine, is located 2 miles south of Cleator in the Bradshaw Mountains. The mine was a producer of many commodities from 1902-1959, with its most productive commodity being Zinc and Gold.

The mine’s workings included 2 shafts and one tunnel, all interconnected. Its central shaft reached a depth of around 400 feet and had 5 levels, with the 4 and 5 levels being the most productive.

Not much remains of the mine today. All of the entrances to the underground workings have collapsed, with only a large waste rock pile remaining.

You can access the site from a dirt road leading south out of Cleator.
